MBChB, Bsc, PGCertMedical Education, FRCOphth. Cert LRS (RCOphth).
Andrew graduated from Edinburgh Medical School in 2010 and has undertaken his general ophthalmic training in the North West deanery.
After completing his general eye surgical training, he has undertaken additional subspecialist training fellowships in corneal, external eye disease and refractive surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and following this, at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, both renowned ophthalmic units.
During his career he has developed an interest in teaching and training, undertaking a specialist additional year in medical education, pursuing a certificate in medical education. He is also actively involved in research projects, having published his work in peer reviewed journals and presenting the outcomes at various national and international conferences. He currently has been involved with over 30 peer reviewed scientific papers.

He has successfully undertaken the Certificate for Laser and Refractive surgery, an additional Royal College examination, meaning he is trained to the highest standards in this area.
